About Of The Exorcism

The Exorcism takes a meta approach to the horror genre. Anthony Miller, a somewhat tarnished star with a tendency of substance dependency is offered the role of a priest in a new horror movie called The Georgetown Project which is within a frame of the plot.

Starring in the film, Anthony starts to act erratically more and more to the point one can tell whether or not this is part of his job.

His daughter Lee Simpkins, who he does not have a good relationship with, thinks it is the same and that Anthony is just going back to his old ways.

As strange occurrences plague the set and Anthony’s mental state deteriorates, the question arises: Is Anthony really afflicted with demonic possession, or is he merely having a paranoid schizophrenic episode brought on by previous abuse and received performance pressure?

Lee tries to find out more about the inception of the film and the script and learns terrible things.

The themes of the boundaries between reality and fantasy pervade the movie to challenge whether Anthony is fighting against demons or himself.
