Based on the first day, Mr. and Mrs. Mahi have collected approximately 6.75 crores from the theaters. Mr. and Mrs. Mahi saw an increase in the number of bookings during the nights compared to the days. The percentage of seat occupancy during the day was seen to be 60–65%, but towards the night, the seat occupancy rate increased to 80–85%. As of yet, it is very difficult to predict whether Mr. and Mrs. Mahi is a hit, average, or flop, as the movie is still fresh in theaters and the promotions are still going on. Mr. & Mrs. Mahi Movie Review
Though there is potential in this film, it lacks logic. As stated by critics, it is very hard to believe that a childhood gully cricket star wife can be trained by her husband, who himself hasn’t played cricket for five years, within six months and successfully pass the state trials. No number of practice montages can make this point seem rational. Coming to the characters, Mahendra is portrayed as a ‘good and supportive husband’; however, we find his ego bruised and secretly jealous of his wife’s success.
Mahima’s character seems to be very one-dimensional and made to be a vessel to fulfill her husband’s ‘long-lost dream’. On the bright side, this film has very sweet and relatable moments that will leave an impact on your mind. Some husband-wife moments will make you feel butterflies in your stomach.
