Kill was released on July 5, 2024, and unsurprisingly, it went under the radar of cinemagoers because of the lack of A-list actors. However, we are here to tell you that, despite the lack of a big-name actor, this movie was partly produced by Dharma Productions and the well-known director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat.

This movie stars the known dance icons Raghav Juyal, Lakshya, and Tanya Maniktala. In this article, we will talk about Kill and why you should give it a try. We will cover the story, give you a detailed review and finally go through a performance analysis of the star cast in Kill. So keep reading till the end!

Kill Story

When army commando Amrit (Lakshya) hears his love Tulika (Tanya Maniktala) is to be wed against her will, he boards a New Delhi-bound train in an attempt to stop the marriage.

But when a gang of knife-wielding ruffians led by the savage Fani (Raghav Juyal) begin terrorizing passengers aboard his train, Amrit must take on the thugs himself in a brutal symphony of slaughter, turning what should have been an average rail commute into an action-packed ride of death.

Kill Movie Review

Visually, the movie Kill is a treat. Not your standard Bollywood song and dance style of cinematography. Brilliant performance by the lead cast. Background scores with a mix of songs were apt for the sequences and seriously not distracting either.

One of the movie’s strongest points is its storytelling. The entire screenplay has been balanced to let the viewers empathize with both the bandits and the passengers—a morally complex scenario that keeps you hooked throughout.

The action sequences are also made without any over-the-top Bollywoodish slow motions or drama. In fact, it takes a more realistic, sharpened-edge route, which in turn makes things more tense and exciting.

But the most welcoming aspect of this movie is its restraint. By not resorting to over-the-top dramatics and focusing on real human emotions and high-stakes situations, the movie achieves an authenticity that is often missing in mainstream Indian cinema.

This is a film that deserves much more recognition than it has received. It’s proof of just how good Indian cinema can be when filmmakers commit to telling a story with solid technical abilities rather than making a spectacle. If you’re a fan of action thrillers or just looking for something different from the typical Bollywood fare, we highly recommend you watch this film.

Kill Star Performance

Regarding the performances, Raghav Juyal wowed us the most here. He is one of the most purely wicked and despicable yet somehow lovable villains we have seen in ages, with UNBELIEVABLE timing for comedy and a good stage presence.

Tanya played Tulika, and Amrit’s girl throughout was so cute, but for what it’s worth, she seemed a bit bumpy for him, so we can’t help feeling her voice wasn’t quite there.

The role of Lakshya Laiwani becomes more action-oriented than speaking later on, which makes him seem like an authentic action star who only depends on anger. The bad guys are good too because they’re all related to each other as family.

Somehow this keeps them from being less like stock characters; in every death scene, at least one of them is always left in tears, and that keeps the stakes high.
