Article: In this article, we will be looking into Ishq Vishk Rebound’s story, review, and overall critical analysis of the performance of the actors. So let’s get started!

Ishq Vishk Rebound Movie Story

Ishq Vishq Rebound is a new take on ‘love is complicated’ and ‘friendship can turn into love’. This film revolves around a trio of Sanya, Raghav, and Sahir, who are best friends. However, Sanya falls for Sahir, and their friendship turns into a full-blown relationship.

Meanwhile, Raghav is busy with his writing and focusing on himself. However, when Sanya and Sahir break up, unfortunately, Raghav is left to pick up the pieces. He ends up becoming the rebound for Sanya and ends up kissing her, his best friend’s girlfriend, breaking the ultimate bro code.

However, Sahir has a new love now; it’s Riya. Now the question is: will the rebound relationships last? Is it true love between the two couples? Or will the couples go through a series of breakups just to realize it’s better to stay friends?

Ishq Vishk Rebound Movie Review

Vishk’s Ishq Vishk rebound focuses on four people, yet most of the focus remains on Sanya and Raghav’s sides of the story. -This movie will make you have a ton of second lead syndrome, as at some point you will want the relationships to stay where they are and not break up! This whole movie is about love triangles and swapping girlfriends and boyfriends. Is this the real definition of love for Gen Z? This movie does not take into account the Gen Z lingo and sticks to some cliche dialogues we have heard a hundred times in romantic Bollywood movies.

On the bright side, this movie is super short, with only 106 minutes of runtime, and it showcases the problems of the characters without glorifying them. Sanya’s issue of shoving her problems under a carpet and running away from them is aptly shown, and she does get some character development.

Raghav’s parents’ love story felt way more natural and realistic than the love story of any of the main characters. Ishq Vishk Rebound is not a better version of the old Ishq Vishk and neither is it bad. It is quite a light rom-com to watch when you feel like you want to delve into the complexities of love.

Ishq Vishk Rebound Star Performance

Coming to terms with the performance of the cast, the strongest performances were delivered by Naila Grewal and Rohit Sharaf. Naila Grewal has proven with this film that a small screen time cannot affect the impact she can create on the audience. She played the role of Riya, who was the most mature and resolved person out of the four characters in the movie.

When it comes to Rohit Sharaf, aka Raghav, the man who had the longest screen time, he basically had the entire film on his shoulder. Even when the audience felt lost and confused about the relationships, they could depend on Rohit Sharaf’s confident smile and charismatic moves. Khan, Coming to Zibraan Khan, who plays Sahir, his character was limited, but he did his best to swoon the audience with his abs, and he constantly reminded you of his childhood self in K3G.

Lastly, Pashmina Roshan, who played Sanya and had the most screen time as the female lead, could have put more depth into her acting. As a first movie, this wasn’t a bad performance. She needs a bit of polishing with her dialogue delivery, but her screen presence is great.
