Alyad Palyad is a Marathi horror-comedy film that blends scares with laughter. The story unfolds in a remote Konkan island village with a peculiar tradition. Every year, for three specific days, the entire village evacuates and moves to the other side of a river. This is because local legends warn of vengeful spirits roaming the village during this time.
Three friends, Kishya, Pankya, and Chatur, visit the village during this spooky period. Finding themselves bored due to the deserted village, they hatch a mischievous plan. They convince a boatman to take them across the river, determined to film the deserted village and disprove the legends. However, they’re not alone. The village Sarpanch’s daughter secretly joins them, making them a group of five.
