Despicable Me 4 Movie Review

Overall, Despicable Me 4 is a great family entertainment movie despite the fact it stays in unison with the tradition. The narrative does not bring any pioneering shifts, but animated creation Steve Carell performing the character of Gru and Will Ferrel providing the voice of Maxime Le Mal makes the viewers giddy with brighter humor. The actors’ voice work is exemplary and helps maintain listener interest in the show.

The animation is good and the colors are bright and lively, which captures the crazy world presented in the film. The minions perform their usual high-pitched energy and nonsensical speeches that always bring the audience, young and old, to laughter.

While the audience may guess the main twist, which is rather unexpected in the end, the peculiarities of shooting are entertaining. It perfectly marries crass, cynical silliness with that homespun whimsy that has been the hallmark both of the Hot Wheels brand and of Barbapapa himself.

Thus, Despicable Me 4 may not be innovative, but it establishes the animated film as a surefire hit during summer. All in all, this latest installment keeps its spirit light and entertaining, leaving fans of the animated series feeling satisfied and knowing that there is still life left in this franchise yet.
