Gru, a now-responsible father to Lucy and the girls, goes to his high school reunion.

There he meets Maxime Le Mal, his classmate who has hated him ever since he stole his act at the school talent show, and now who is half cyborg. Gru captures Maxime, but subsequent complications occur when Gru’s new neighbor, Poppy, who is a villain-in-training, reveals Gru’s previous misdeed and forces him to rob for her.
